Bio

Sun, Moon, and Stars.

Character: Malik Benedict.
Fandom: Wild Arms 3.

Character Notes:
“A youth known for his mysterious features, He can be heartless, acting with inhumane and brutal nonchalance.”

History: Malik had always been interested in science, specifically biology. His mother was a beautiful person, with long blond hair and intense blue eyes, and these features were passed on to her eccentric son. He did very well, finally finding a group of people in the Council of Seven who he could relate to. Before Malik had made it, however, he had difficulty in coping when his mother died.
Within the Council, he was a member of the Life Creation Team: he was responsible for researching the leyline structure of Filgaia in order to revive the planet's life force. Filgaia used to be beautiful, with lush forests and wide lakes and several oceans. The Yggdrasil Project was supposed to revive it all: it did the opposite and made the land into nothing but desert and seas of sand. The explosion destroyed Malik’s body, but with Leehalt and Melody he used the wisdom of Hyades to restore his form and condition it beyond the normal limits of a human.
The planet rejected him, but he clung to the will to live.
Ten years later, in his thirties, Malik retained his youthful appearance. In all that time he undertook radical experiments without any regard for ethics or the potential consequences of his research – all in the hope of bringing his mother back to life. He regarded the subjects of his experiments as "pets," though most were monstrous versions of animals seen in children’s tales. He had become almost insane and at Lunatic Garden, Malik was absorbing Celesdue’s life-force. This incident finally brought him in conflict with Virginia and her group. In the end, he was defeated in battle.

Personality: Prophet, grieving son, brilliant scientist and unsympathetic adversary, there isn't much you can say isn’t strange about Malik, may it be his untrustworthy speech or his unpredictable actions. He is the child of the Prophets as much as Leehalt is the boss. He doesn’t possess a foul temper and is rarely seen in a bad mood. He knows he’s too fragile to engage in fighting, which he knows he stands a chance of losing. Instead he relies on underlings, and monsters he calls ‘pets’, but will fight if it cannot be helped.
Malik is youthful and agile. He seems to prefer solitude over socializing; he finds pleasure in his work and the comfort success will bring. He’s a quick learner, with a genuine love of science. He'll go ahead and learn anything difficult and not give up. He is knowledgeable when it comes to his work, as well as calm and calculating. He's a man who operates behind the scenes. Expect his friends to become bored when he starts showing off his vast array of knowledge – that’s if he tells them what he’s up to. Though he fights for survival with Leehalt and Melody, he’s prone to keeping secrets close, especially if they’re of a personal nature.
The most noticeable is Malik’s obsession with his dead mother. The situation is bad enough that an Oedipus Complex is applicable. He’s a nearly insane individual. When it comes to love, Malik cannot commit. He doesn’t feel sexual or romantic attractions to another person. The people he meets aren’t as important as his ambition to revive her. All he wants is to be together with the one person who loves him. Malik is thus highly ambitious. He works with the Prophets but has no qualms in fulfilling this objective.
Any other positive attributes are drowned out by strange body movements, erratic emotions, and his overall shifty demeanour. He’s an accomplished liar whose dark secret belies borderline psychotic tendencies. Insult his mother [or his feelings for her] and he becomes enraged. That isn’t a good idea because Malik is a disease-wielding scientist who prays on the minds of his opponents. Not one with too many scruples, he has no problem in calling on terrifying monsters to kill people, but also playing with them psychologically. He hates unreliability and rude behaviour.

Other: Malik specialises in the fields of biotechnology and memory, which is why he is able to create all the mother clones. His combat skills can be said to be disease and magic: his knowledge of biotech enables him to develop and cultivate all manners of non-lethal and fatal viral and non-viral diseases, and to infect people. His body resonates with a hyper frequency that causes all physical-based attacks to miss, be they blade, arms or anything of that nature. He can even confuse the minds of several at once to cause them to attack their teammates or, arguably, innocents. Many of his attacks are magical in nature, such as Eliminate Scanner and the powerful Annihilator.
His room in Yggdrasil holds female clones in three liquid tubes, all with long blonde hair and stunning blue eyes. They are clones of his Mama, which he tells Virginia and co are empty vessels without memories.
